In November 2007, European extruders had the chance to attend a new, two-day conference and exhibition taking place in Eindhoven, Holland’s ‘City of Light’.

ALex 2007 will be the inaugural staging of an event intended to provide an international forum for extruders of aluminium and non-ferrous metals. It will be the ideal venue for extruders, suppliers and end-users from all over Europe to meet and discuss the
many changes taking place within the global extrusion industry.

The conference will feature speakers from within the industry as well as expert commentators from outside, all working towards improving performance,
routes to market, supply chains, service and customer satisfaction.
Subjects discussed will cover new techniques and emerging technology,
prices and supply within the metal markets, currentmarket trends,
environmental issues and many other relevant topics currently affecting
the industry.

The complementary exhibition will provide suppliers with an opportunity to
show products, services and new technology to planners and buyers within
the industry. The intended attendance is naturally from those within the
industry with decision-making responsibility and purchasing power: corporate strategists; senior operating management; sales and marketing management;
technical and production management; procurement personnel.
